VesselJet® 55000 series rotating PTFE tank cleaning nozzles. The 55000 series is a self-rotating tank cleaning nozzle molded from PTFE for washing the inside of tanks, vessels, totes, and process equipment. The spray liquid itself turns the nozzle head, so there is no motor, gearbox, or air line to install or maintain. PTFE stands up to a wide range of acids, solvents, and caustic cleaning solutions, and the rotating spray gives a more forceful wash than a static spray ball.
Choosing the right model
- Spray coverage. The first code after 55000 is the spray pattern: 180U = 180° upward, 180D = 180° downward, 270U = 270° upward, 270D = 270° downward, 360 = full 360°. Choose 360 to wash every interior surface, or a directional pattern to concentrate the spray on the walls or the bottom of the tank.
- Inlet size and thread. Inlets run from 1/2" to 3" female pipe thread. The letter after the size is the thread: N = NPT, B = BSPT.
- Flow rating. The number ending in G is this nozzle's maximum flow in US gallons per minute at 50 psi (3.5 bar). The full flow range is listed in the specifications below.
- Material. PTFE body and head.
- Removable head. Part numbers ending in RH have a removable head.
- Part Number: 55000-180U-1N-57G-PTFE
Where they're used. Clean-in-place (CIP) systems, chemical and pharmaceutical processing, food and beverage production, and any tank or vessel where the wash liquid or process chemistry is too aggressive for a metal nozzle. Use with clean, filtered liquid.
