General Information
Description
VesselJet™ 36500 series rotating stainless steel tank washing nozzles. A self-rotating nozzle for small tanks and drums up to 8 ft (2.4 m) across. The wash liquid itself spins the head — three flat-fan orifices sweep the whole interior, with no motor or air supply to install. Body and head are 316 stainless steel with PTFE bearing retainers, and the nozzle fits through a 60 mm (2.36") opening. Mounts vertically or horizontally.
Choosing the right model
- Spray coverage. 360 — the three-orifice rotating head covers the full interior.
- Inlet size and thread. 3/4" female pipe thread. The letter after the size is the thread: N = NPT, B = BSPT.
- Flow rating. The number ending in G is this nozzle's maximum flow in US gallons per minute at 58 psi (4 bar). Two ratings are offered, 25G and 54G. The full flow range is listed in the specifications below.
- Material. SS316 — 316 stainless steel.

We sell these three ways, depending on what you already have on hand: just the body (no tip included), just the tip (fits onto a body you already own), or the full assembly with both pieces included.

This tells you how much of the tank interior the nozzle reaches. A full 360° model cleans every interior surface; a 180° model sprays downward only, which works well for open-top tanks. Other coverage patterns are available if neither fits your setup.

How the nozzle can be mounted inside the tank. Every model in this line works hanging straight down; several also work mounted upward, sideways, or at an angle, depending on your tank's layout.

Most of our threaded fittings use a tapered-thread standard — NPT (National Pipe Thread) is the most common in North America, with BSPT (British Standard Pipe Taper) common internationally. Check your existing plumbing or fittings to confirm which standard your system uses before ordering; other thread types are available on request.

NPT and BSPT threads cover most of our catalog. A number of models also come in flanged or quick-connect versions, and sanitary (hygienic) connections are available on select nozzles for food, beverage, and pharmaceutical applications.

Flow figures are given in gallons or liters per minute at the specific operating pressures we've listed. Running the nozzle at a higher pressure than shown will generally increase flow beyond these published numbers — contact us if you need a rating at a pressure we haven't listed.

The largest tank diameter a given rotating nozzle is built to clean effectively. Choose a model rated for a diameter that matches or exceeds your tank's interior width so the spray pattern reaches all the way to the walls.

The highest fluid temperature this nozzle is rated to handle continuously. Running above this limit can shorten the part's service life or affect its seals and materials — check your process temperature against this rating before ordering, and contact us if you need a higher-temperature option.

The smallest tank opening or manway the nozzle assembly needs to pass through for installation. Measure your actual opening before ordering — if it's smaller than this, the assembly won't fit through, and a different mounting approach may be needed.

How the nozzle achieves its rotating spray pattern. A fluid-driven design uses the reaction force of the liquid itself to rotate the nozzle — no motor, electricity, or external power source is required, so it runs on nothing but your system's existing flow and pressure.
